A Dagger in Bog Oak, Snakewood and Wrought Iron

This is the first dagger I have worked on. It was done some time last year but I forgot to post it up here.

It has been described as a viking dagger but I doubt it's historically accurate after I've worked on it. Good fun though.

The blade is spring steel and was forged by Nick Johnson of www.knivesbynick.co.uk/ and the handle is by myself.

Bog Oak was chosen for the handle and I sneaked a spacer of Snakewood at the front and back. For the bolster and butt cap I used Wrought Iron. For the butt cap I left the weather worn and corroded texture of the Wrought rather than grinding it down to clean metal. I think the effect is great!
